Silver Lake Stockton Family Camp is located at Silver Lake on Highway 88 behind Plasse’s Resort just a few miles above Bear River Reservoir and below Kirkwood Resort at Carson Pass in Amador County. Founded in 1921, Silver Lake Stockton Family Camp has hosted campers escaping the heat and bustle of the city of Stockton for a fresher, more peaceful setting.

Silver Lake Stockton Family Camp is located on land that is leased by the City of Stockton from the United States Forest Service (U.S.F.S.), El Dorado National Forest. Open seasonally, from late spring to late summer, the camp operates under a Special Use Permit. The camp welcomes all to enjoy the beauty of the High Sierra; from young to old and any ethnicity, are greeted with enthusiasm.
